"Laputa"

Installation

Laputa the island known from Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels, floats in the clouds above the Earth. 

In our interpretation, it is a suspended object made of four interconnected layers of light board planted with moss, lichen, small plants and tree shoots, which can provide temporary shelter for insects. The individual layers are perforated so that rainwater can flow into the lower layers and the entire micro-ecosystem remains viable for two weeks
