Wind whispering, tunnel concert and "changing views

The supporting programme for the 8th "bewegten wind"

The wind art festival "bewegter wind" will be opened on Sunday, 14.8.2016 at 11 am on the Burgberg with actions and performance. On the opening Sunday free guided tours will be offered at all three exhibition venues. At the Offenberg and Theodor Rocholl Park in Hofgeismar and the Burgberg near Trendelburg-Deisel 80 wind art works will be presented. The landscape exhibition is free and outside. Installations, objects and sculptures, performances and videos will be on display. The satellite locations Friedenseiche, Oberhaldessen and Carlsbahntunnel are intended to entice visitors to take further excursions and to experience magnificent views and "changing horizons".

Guided tours of "changing horizons" exhibitions at all 3 locations will be offered on Sat. 20 and 27 8.16 from 2 pm. Guided tours for groups of 12 or more people can be arranged with or without a wind picnic. Further information under www.bewegter-wind.de/Rahmenprogramm. Fee 12 Euro per person.

In cooperation with the Huguenot and Waldensian Trail e.V., two events are offered which highlight aspects of refugee migration on the topic. On Wednesday, 17.8.16 at 6 pm a fairy tale walk "Windy fairy tales" with Dorothe Römer starts at the Carlsdorf church. On the way to Offenberg she will tell about the wind in fairy tales and how the Huguenots influenced the Grimms fairy tales. The participation is free of charge.
On Saturday, 20.8.16 at 6 pm the event "Alternating Views", Flight Stories of Cultures will take place in the Huguenot Church in Carlsdorf. A Huguenot refugee narrative will be juxtaposed with a contemporary history. French snacks and wine will be offered. The entrance is free of charge.

"Windgeflüster" is a dance project of the Aktionstheater Kassel with the dancer Mareike Steffens. On Friday, 19.8.16 the wind will be danced around in the generation house Alter Bahnhof Hümme. A play with the elements. A visible laboratory in front of the eyes of the little spectators. The entrance is free.

There will be a premiere on Sunday, 21.8.16 at 17 o'clock in the oldest railway tunnel of Hesse. In the Carlsbahntunnel between Trendelburg-Deisel and Wüllmersen, the "Talking Horns" will offer a concert in a class of its own. With a fleet of instruments they will explore the tunnel and its surroundings musically and announce "News from the Wind Forest". More details about this change concert will be available soon.

Finally, the award ceremony of the art competition "bewegter wind" will take place on So., 28.8.16, at 5 pm in cooperation with the Kulturforum Hofgeismar at the Reithagen. The prize winners will be announced during the concert of the Trendelburg trend singers.
